Victor
Victor is a photographer in the advertising industry by training. Like many photographers, he started by shooting weddings in the early 1980s to pay for his passion for photography and darkroom work.
In 1990 he joined the advertising industry as a photographic assistance and has worked his way up since then. People have always been his preferred choice of subjects as “everyone is different, every shoot is a challenge, in advertising the models are trained to look good on film, but not ordinary people like you and me who are not trained! I need to know their taste, talk to them, get them to relax and earn their trust in me to do my job even though I’ve only know them for a total of less than a few hours.”
Most of his wedding subjects are his advertising clients in the creative fields or are his corporate clients. A friendly and experienced photographer (his first wedding shoot was in 1980 at age 15), Victor likes to help the couples plan their big day (“been there, done that”), giving them pointers which many are not aware of and many a times before they even confirm their booking with him. He has even been approached by clients to set up a wedding planner company “Nah...I’ll help them if they need me. But I just want to shoot.”
